Westminster LGBT+ Catholics join first official Jubilee Pilgrimage to Rome

LGBT+ Catholics Westminster's Younger Adults Group members and others from LGBT+ Catholics Westminster will take part in the Vatican's first officially recognised LGBT+ Jubilee Year Pilgrimage. They will join pilgrims from the Global Network of Rainbow Catholics, the European Forum of LGBTI+ Christian Groups Roman Catholic member-groups, and a large number of Italian LGBT+ Catholic groups in Rome, 5-7 September 2025.
The LGBT+ Pilgrimage is officially listed in the Vatican's Jubilee Year Calendar.
LGBT+ Jubilee Year pilgrims will be guided through the Holy Door of St Peter's Basilica, Saturday, 6 September 2025, with the "Jubilee Cross" and will pass through this door, a symbol of mercy and liberation, to experience a moment of communion and prayer.
In addition to the pilgrimage, two significant events form part of the initiative "Church: A Home for All. There will be a Prayer Vigil, Friday evening, 5 September 2025, a time for everyone to be recognized in their uniqueness, to give thanks and praise together in this Jubilee year. There will be a Eucharistic Celebration in the Church of the Gesù, Saturday morning, 6 September 2025, presided over by Bishop Francesco Savino of Cassano all'Jonio, Italy.
