Dear Friends,
I am sharing this report with deep concern and sadness.
Our olives are being stolen, our trees are being damaged, and our families are being denied access to their own lands.
The painful reality is that this year, our olive harvest and olive oil production will not be enough to meet the needs of our own families. Many who have depended on their olive trees for generations may now be forced to purchase the very olive oil their own land should have provided.
This is not simply the loss of a harvest. It is a threat to our livelihoods, our heritage, and our ability to remain rooted in Taybeh.
We urgently ask for your solidarity and intervention before more damage is done.
With gratitude and prayers,
Fr Bashar Fawadleh
Latin Parish Priest - Taybeh
(Taybeh is the last remaining fully Christian town in the West Bank)
