Remembering Pope Francis: "Todos, todos, todos!"

As the Church recalls Pope Francis on the first anniversary of his death today, Vatican News has released a documentary film looking back over the life and legacy of the Argentine Pope.

"Having received mercy, let's now become merciful." Seven words that encapsulate the heart of a Pope and the story of a pontificate. Alongside them, his wish was "How I would like a Church which is poor and for the poor!"

Vatican News, Vatican Radio, and L'Osservatore Romano highlight some of the most significant moments of Pope Francis' pontificate in a 27-minute documentary entitled 'Todos, todos, todos.'

This is another emblematic expression of the Pope of the peripheries, one that speaks of his closeness to those on the margins and of his constant appeals for peace in a world torn by a global war fought "piecemeal."

'Todos, todos, todos!' available on Vatican News platforms with subtitles in Italian, Spanish, and English, serves as the guiding thread of this visual narrative, offering a synthesis of the pastoral vision that marked Jorge Mario Bergoglio's pontificate.

Through archival footage and images, the documentary presents a Church that "goes forth," capable of dialogue and present amid the wounds of history.

From the centrality of mercy to the building of personal encounter, the years of Pope Francis on the Chair of Peter emerge as an ecclesial journey that sought to translate the Gospel into concrete and universally intelligible gestures.
