Jesuit Missions partners visiting UK

Caroline Sanga from East Africa
Representatives from projects supported by Jesuit Missions (JM) are visiting the UK over the coming days, where they will speak with supporters about their life-changing work.
JM partners from India, Madagascar, South Sudan and Guyana will attend Masses, meet with pupils and staff from Jesuit schools, and, on Thursday 23rd April, join the organisation's Annual Reception.
They will also spend dedicated time with the JM team, sharing ideas about how to develop its relationship with its global partners, and are set to feature on Radio Maria.
The representatives - a mixture of Jesuit priests and laypeople working for Jesuit groups - will speak about key issues such as climate change, Indigenous rights and refugee support, and the impact these have on the countries where they are based.
Jules Gibson, Community Engagement Manager at Jesuit Missions, said: "Through parish appeals, school visits and shared celebrations of the Eucharist, these encounters offer a vital opportunity to listen, learn and deepen the relationships at the heart of our mission.
"Meeting face to face with our partners reminds us that our work is rooted in accompaniment. These days of shared conversation and reflection help us remain attentive to local voices and faithful to our call to walk alongside communities at the margins. We are grateful for all that this time will hold and look forward to what we will learn together."
The visitors are Caroline Sanga, Programmes Officer, Jesuits East Africa; Patricia Tahirindray, Programme Coordinator, Centre Arrupe Madagascar; Fr Paul Martin SJ, Intercultural Bilingual Education Organisation, Guyana; Fr Roy Sebastian SJ, National Director, Lok Manch (People's Forum), India.
At least one representative will speak at Masses on the weekend of the 18th-19th April at St Anselm's in Southall, Farm Street Church in Mayfair, and St Ignatius in Stamford Hill, and, on the weekend of the 25th-26th April at St Aloysius in Glasgow.
All British Jesuit schools will be involved in the visit, including at a dedicated workshop day at the London Jesuit Centre on Wednesday 22nd April.
