Webinar: Free Marwan Barghouti - Palestine's Nelson Mandela

Source: Amos Trust
The Amos Trust, will be hosting a webinar: Free Marwan Barghouti, on Tuesday, 10 February, 2026 at 6pm (UK)
Marwan Barghouti has been unjustly imprisoned by Israel for over two decades, convicted in a trial by a court he did not recognise. Despite his imprisonment, poll after poll shows he's Palestine's most popular leader. A powerful symbol of unity and a long-time advocate for freedom and dignity for the Palestinian people.
Nelson Mandela said in 2002: "What is happening to Barghouti is exactly the same as what happened to me."
The Barghouti family, led by Marwan's wife and lawyer Fadwa Barghouti, have campaigned for Marwan Barghouti's release since the first days of his unlawful imprisonment in 2002. Through her tireless advocacy, Fadwa built an international movement for the freedom of her husband and all Palestinian political prisoners.
Marwan's son, Arab Barghouti and Raja Maoussaoui from the Free Marwan campaign, will be in conversation with Amos' Chris Rose to discuss the relaunch of the campaign to free his father and why his release is not only vastly overdue but is vital if Palestinian aspirations are to be realised and for the future.
