Raising Hope Conference at Castel Gandolfo

Castel Gandolfo, near Rome, will become the stage for a global dialogue on the climate crisis, the future of our common home, and the anniversary of Laudato Si'.
On 1 October, Pope Leo XIV will open the Raising Hope Conference in Castel Gandolfo with prayer for creation. Then on 2-3 October, leaders of faith, science, and politics will unite to chart the path towards COP30, November's UN Climate Conference in Brazil.
The conference aims to celebrate 10 years of Laudato Si' and renew hope for our common home.
An 'Earth Partner Exhibition' is on display 10 September to 4 October at Borgo Laudato Si' in Castel Gandolfo. During the inauguration last week, Pope Leo XIV emphasised that as "creatures among creatures," humanity bears the responsibility to protect flora and fauna and to care for creation. The exhibition displays 55 multimedia projects created by artists under 30 from 28 countries who have been winners and finalists in the Earth Partner Prize annual competition. Its purpose is to reflect on the fears and hopes of a generation facing the ecological crisis.
