Chee Yan Shek, Operations Manager with the The Ecological Conversion Group writes:

The We Believe Festival is a unique event that brings Catholics from all across the UK to come together as the body of Christ. As a small independent charity responding to Laudato Si', we were keen to take up the opportunity to become a partner for this year's We Believe Festival. Our mission at the Ecological Conversion Group is to help our Church, motivated by faith, to respond to the cry of the earth and cry of the poor.

One of our main goals for attending the We Believe Festival was to share our latest project: The Jubilee Garden Project. It is an invitation for all who have a garden or are wishing to start a garden, to use the space to prayerfully prepare for the Jubilee Year of Redemption in 2033 that celebrates 2000 years of the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Our patrons are the Bethany siblings Mary, Lazarus, and Martha representing the three theological virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity. We welcome everyone (home, schools, parishes, and religious communities) to take up the project.

As a partner, we had a stall, which was a fantastic opportunity to engage one-on-one with festival goers and clergy, who received our work with great enthusiasm and interest. These interactions have offered new possibilities both for the charity and for those we spoke with. Alongside the stall, John Paul de Quay (charity Director and Co-Founder) gave a talk entitled, "Why Care for our Common Home is More Urgent in the Age of A.I.". We had approximately 30 people attend the talk, where fruitful discussions and questions were shared on the topic.

Attending We Believe Festival has enabled us as a small charity to reach and engage with a wider audience in an interactive and personal way that we otherwise may have not reached. We are grateful for the work of the We Believe Festival team and the Guild of Our Lady of Ransom for such an inspiring and fruitful weekend.
