Bristol: Students brings Christmas hampers to needy families

Staff and students at St Brendan's Sixth Form College have put together over 30 festive hampers to support families with young children, teenagers, elderly and housebound people across Bristol.

As in previous years, the Brislington College worked in conjunction with the St Vincent De Paul Society in Bedminster and a local primary school to distribute all of the hampers to a range of families across the City. The gifts, which contain basic foods, as well as Christmas toys and treats, were created by students and staff, and were delivered to families who may not have had any gifts this Christmas.

Michael Jaffrain, Principal at St Brendan's Sixth Form College, said: "The College is delighted to be able to come together to support the local community through the hamper project, it is a really humbling, whole college effort involving the students, teachers and support staff."
