London: Home Office Vigils for Migrants and Refugees

Vigil last summer
The first Prayer Vigil of the year for Migrants and Refugees opposite the Home Office, will takes place on Monday, 19 January from 12.30 - 1.30pm.
During the vigil the names of those known to have died trying to reach the UK in the past month will be read out. Prayers will be said for them and the many more unnamed victims; asylum seekers in detention centres; those who are homeless and those who struggle to inject welcome and humanity into our legislation.
Organised by the Diocese of Westminster Justice and Peace Commission and London Churches Refugee Fund, this event takes place on the third Monday of each month, outside the Home Office in Marsham Street, SW1P 4DF.

Further vigils will take place on 16 February, 16 March and 20 April.
On Saturday, 24 January at 5.30pm there will be a singing practice at the Centre for Spirituality and Eco-justice of the FCJ Sisters Saint Aloysius Convent, 32 Phoenix Rd, London NW1 1TA nearest station (tube and overground) Euston, by kind invitation of Sr Mary Anne, a regular vigil attendee.
