A memorable Polish-British charity concert + video

Carol of the Bells a magical Polish-British charity concert in aid of Poles in need and to support Charitable Works of the Order of Malta took place St Clement Danes, Central Church of the RAF, in London on 14 December.
Dr Marek Stella Sawicki MBE, chairman of the Association of the Polish Knights of Malta introduced the evening. The Ave Verum Choir, joined by St John Paul II Choir and soprano Agnieszka Mucha, accompanied by organist, Simon Over performed many traditional Polish carols. Pianist Alicja Koder played the beautiful Chopin Nocturne in Eb Op 9 no 2 and Chopin Scherzo no1 in B min Op 20.
The programme was arranged by Musical Director Jurek Pockert and. Artistic Director, Ewa Kwaśniewska.
Justin Maciejewski introduced the laying of the wreath commemorating the Polish airmen of WW2 after which there was the traditional Polish Christmas sharing of Opłatek. Delicious Polish pastries and traditional warming drinks were available during the interval.
Proceeds from the event, organised by The Association of the Polish Knights of Malta UK, are for Charitable Works of the Order of Malta.
