October is Mission Month, and in the lead up to the Jubilee for World Mission on 4-5 October this weekend, discover how small acts of kindness and faith can make you a powerful missionary of hope right where you are.

Every Day, Every Person, Every Minute Counts

Throughout October, Missio invites you to embark on our 'Minute Missions' - a transformative daily journey of short prayers, meaningful actions and inspiring reflections. These aren't just activities; they're opportunities to unlock your natural calling as a missionary and spread hope among all the people you encounter.

Each morning, CLICK HERE or visit www.missio.org.uk/minutemissions to discover a simple mini-mission, designed to deepen your faith and connect you to the vital difference that mission makes to the world. Whether it's offering a prayer for vulnerable communities worldwide, sharing stories about the work of missionaries on your social media, or reflecting on God's presence in everyday moments, these one-minute commitments will help you be a missionary right where you are.

Building Toward World Mission Sunday

As we journey together through October, each daily mission prepares us for World Mission Sunday on 19 October. This unique day in the Church's calendar is a moment of grace to celebrate our global Church family and pray for missionaries who leave their homes to serve wherever they are most needed. But it also reminds us that we are all called to be 'Missionaries Of Hope Among All Peoples' - because each of us is loved by God and we are called to share that love and the hope of the coming of God's Kingdom with all peoples.

'Minute Missions' help us discover that mission isn't only about travelling to distant lands or having special training. It's about recognising the missionary heart already within each of us and learning to express it through small, intentional acts that create ripples of hope in our own communities and throughout the world.

Small Acts, Infinite Impact

History shows us that the most powerful movements often begin with the smallest gestures. St Thérèse of Lisieux beautifully taught us:

'Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest thing right and doing it all for love.'

Missionaries throughout the world show us how small, simple acts of great love have the power to transform lives and communities. A sympathetic ear; a shared meal; a prayer or story shared: these are tools to share hope with all of God's children, whoever and wherever they are.

By following in the footsteps of Saint Thérèse and Blessed Pauline Jaricot - one of Missio's founders who focused on small, daily offerings and acts of service - our 'Minute Missions' will help you experience firsthand how brief acts of intentional faith can ignite hope in unexpected ways.

Each mission is carefully crafted to fit into your daily routine, while opening your heart to see mission opportunities everywhere. This October, why not use 'Minute Missions' to become more aware of God's presence, more sensitive to others' needs, and more confident in your ability to be Christ's hands and feet in the world?

Mini Missionaries!

Missio's children's branch, Mission Together, has also created a free daily calendar for Mission Month. Young supporters can join in the minute missions journey and are so often the best 'Missionaries Of Hope'. You can download the calendar here: www.missiontogether.org.uk/calendar/missionmonth
