Manchester: Ecumenical celebration of Laudato Si'

To mark the tenth anniversary of the publication of Laudato Si', the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales is holding an event with the Church of England and Methodist Church at Methodist Central Hall, Manchester.

The event will draw on the experiences of faith leaders and be opened by the Mayor of Manchester, Andy Burnham. Speakers Bishop John Arnold, Dr Emma Gardner, Head of Environment, Diocese of Salford, Rev Grace Thomas and Rev Ian Rutherford, will reflect on the progress and achievements of the past decade, consider the road ahead, and answer questions from the audience.

The event will celebrate the power of faith in action and consider how collaboration can sustain and amplify that impact while addressing the challenges and opportunities ahead.

A Decade of Laudato Si' takes place in Methodist Central Hall, Central Buildings, Oldham St, Manchester, M1 1JQ, on Tuesday 14 October 2025 at 6pm.
