Christian Bloc to march and pray on National Demonstration for Gaza

Many thousands are expected to take part in Saturday's National Demonstration calling for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and urging the UK and US to stop sending weapons to Israel.

Aid agencies describe the humanitarian situation in Gaza as 'catastrophic'. More than a million people are suffering from starvation and dehydration as Israel has cut off the mains water supply and prevented food and medical supplies from entering the territory for many weeks, while continuing their military onslaught. Netenyahu is now threatening to attack Rafah - the town where most of the population are crammed into temporary shelters and bombed buildings.

The Christian Bloc will be meeting before the march for prayers in Bloomsbury Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8EP from 11am. At 11.30am we will leave for Bloomsbury Square Gardens where we will be marching behind the Jewish Bloc to Trafalgar Square.

The organisers will have placards, badges and banners! If you are unable to come in person on this Holy Saturday - please pray for the suffering people of Gaza and the West Bank - that there is a permanent ceasefire and everyone can receive the aid and support they need as soon as possible.

This will be the eleventh national demonstration for Palestine organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign.
