Learning the Language of Grace

Learning the Language of Grace was first conceived by Father Christopher Jamison OSB as an additional resource to be used alongside his book, 'Finding the Language of Grace: Rediscovering Transcendence.'

The videos used across this site were created after an event held at St Giles Cripplegate Church where Father Christopher spoke alongside Rev Jennifer Smith of Wesley's Chapel. Following the event, Father Christopher designed these four short sessions to be used during Lent (or any time users choose).

Pope's Lenten Message 2024 on social and environmental justice

The Pope's Lenten Message for 2024, released on 1 February and entitled 'Through the Desert God Leads us to Freedom', echoes the themes of the Pope's social encyclicals, 'Laudato Si' and 'Fratelli Tutti'. He calls for "conversion" and urges attention to social justice, review of personal lifestyle, care for creation, and aiding the poor and marginalised. He says: "Today, the cry of so many of our oppressed brothers and sisters rises to heaven. Let us ask ourselves: Do we hear that cry? Does it trouble us? Does it move us? …. Love of God and love of neighbour are one love."
