A Colombian missionary nun, kidnapped in Mali more than six weeks ago is still missing.
Sister Gloria Cecilia Narváez Argoti, was abducted by a group of armed men who broke into the church in Sikasso in southern Mali where she was working in the morning on 9 February.
No groups have claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. The Catholic Church of Mali has not yet news of the nun kidnapped but there are many initiatives to secure her release.
A prayer novena was held in many parishes around the country and a series of broadcasts are taking place on radio and television, to show that the Church has not forgetten Sister Gloria.
The Colombian authorities have now sent two investigators to the scene to try to get more accurate information. The Malian authorities have not made statements on the investigation.
