Association of Separated and Divorced Catholics celebrate 25 years
Last week members of the Westminster Cathedral ASDC Group and the Harrow ASDC Group joined others at an Open Meeting in Stockport, not far from where a small group of divorced Catholics first met in 1981. From this small beginning the Association grew. In the 25 years since then, many divorced or separated Catholics have been helped to overcome their feelings of loneliness, to regain self-confidence and a deepening of their faith. In celebrating 25 years since our foundation, Bishop Terence Brain, Bishop of Salford, who is our Patron, talked to us and encouraged us to remember that God's love is always there for us. After Mass, concelebrated with our National Chaplain, Mgr Michael Quinlan, our day ended with a splendid buffet. We Londoners have returned home, ready to offer our help and support to all those suffering the pain of marriage failure. For more information see: www.asdcengland.org.uk
