New General Secretary of Pax Christi England and Wales

Anna Blackman

Fr Joe Ryan (Acting Chair) writes:

I would like to announce that Anna Blackman has accepted the position of General Secretary of Pax Christi England and Wales.

For many years Anna has been dedicated to peace-making and nonviolence inspired by Gospel values and Catholic Social Teaching. She has been involved with Pax Christi Scotland, and now based in England is a member of Pax Christi England and Wales.

Anna has most recently been a staff member of Glasgow University, lecturing in Catholic education; while there she has been involved with students, encouraging these young people into the peace movement, and into nonviolent witness for bridge-building.

We wish Anna well in her new role, which she takes up in January 2027.

We pledge her every possible support and we look forward to continuing our work together towards building a peace-filled world.
