Archbishop joins St Vincent's Nursing Home 20th anniversary celebrations

St Vincent's Nursing Home in Eastcote, Pinner, is celebrating 20 years of care, continuing a tradition that began more than a century ago at the orthopaedic hospital originally run by the Daughters of Charity. The nursing home was officially opened in 2006 by His Eminence Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor.

The anniversary celebrations began on Sunday, the feast day, when Chaplain Fr Brian Reynolds celebrated Holy Mass in our chapel with 32 residents; many others joined from their rooms, friends, staff and our Chairman Chris Horsburgh.

A wonderful summer garden party followed, with residents, families, staff, friends and trustees enjoying the fine weather, food, music and dancing.

At St Vincent's, caring is more than what we do - it is who we are. For over 100 years, our care has been inspired by the compassion and spirit of St Vincent de Paul, placing people, kindness and community at the heart of everything we offer. Professionals and visitors often remark that there is something 'special' about St Vincent's.

Residents were delighted when His Eminence Archbishop Richard Moth of the Westminster Diocese joined the celebration to share his good wishes and offer a special blessing for the home's future.
