London: Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Clerkenwell

Padre Andrea and Padre Giuseppe welcome you and your friends to join the celebrations for the Festa della Madonna del Carmine this Sunday, 19th July at St Peter's Italian Church, 136 Clerkenwell Rd, London EC1R 5DL.

The historic procession, which dates back to the 1880s, will begin right outside the church after the 3.30pm Mass.

The Madonna and statues of the Saints from the church will be paraded through the streets, accompanied by parishioners of all ages dressed in traditional costumes, many depicting biblical scenes - as well as representatives from Italian associations and community groups.

Throughout the day, just around the corner from the church on Warner Street, there will be stalls open selling delicious Italian food, drinks and memorabilia, so why not stop off for a panino or some porchetta - or maybe even a glass of Prosecco?

All profits go to St Peter's Italian Church.
