Archbishop Richard Moth has offered his prayers following the terrorist incident today, Wednesday 29 April, in which two men from the Jewish community in Golders Green were stabbed, saying:
"I pray for the victims of this attack and salute the swift actions of the policemen in preventing further violence; and our continued prayers for the whole Jewish community at this time. We must stand together against all those who promote hatred and violence against any person because of their faith."
The victims of the Golders Green attack, aged 76 and 34 are understood to be members of the orthodox Jewish community and are reported to be in a stable condition. Confirming their names on X, Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis wrote: "Please join me in praying for a swift and complete recovery for the victims of today's attack: Nachman Moshe ben Chaya Sarah and Moshe Ben Baila."
