Deacon Mark Paine is a permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of Birmingham who has served for many years in Catholic education and parish ministry. He is autistic and a parent to autistic children, which informs his advocacy and ministry work focused on inclusion and support for people with autism .

He has developed autism-friendly resources for children, young people, teachers, and catechists to help make Catholic education and ministry more accessible and welcoming to those with autism.
