Harry Clark, broadcaster, author and celebrated winner of BBC hit series 'Traitors' revisited his roots in Slough this week, with an inspiring mission for local young people.

As part of his 'faithful' era, Harry encouraged students at St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School as they take on a charity challenge for the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD).

CAFOD's 'Big Lent Walk' involves participants walking 200km over 40 days, to help provide safe water for communities around the world. Now in its fifth year, it started during lockdown as a 'Walk for Water' to remember the millions of people who walk miles every day just to get clean water to drink.

More than just a physical challenge, the 'Big Lent Walk 2026' represents a collective stride towards combating the global water crisis affecting millions of people. Over 1,000 supporters are taking part this year, as well as hundreds of schools across the country.

Harry said: "I'm very proud to be here for CAFOD and supporting this year's Big Lent Walk. I never realised how much walking and running could help strengthen your faith. I've definitely found it helps my thoughts and my understanding of what my faith is about."

St Bernard's Headteacher Paul Kassapian said: "Students have been learning about how climate change is affecting communities around the world. It's wonderful that they are now taking action and doing their bit to help tackle this global issue."

During his visit, on Wednesday 25 February, Harry shared personal stories and insights from his experience overcoming challenges in life, including six years in the British Army, filming 'Traitors"' and his new BBC ONE documentary 'From Slough to the Vatican', sharing with the pupils how his faith (and his mum!) helped shape him and linking lessons of resilience and teamwork to CAFOD's charitable cause.
