Churches on the edge of the City of London begin their prayers for Christian Unity with a bi-lingual Welsh & English Service at Jewin Welsh Church, 70 Fann Street, London EC1Y OSA. This will take place on Saturday, 13.30, 17 January 2026.
This will be followed on Sunday, 18 January 2026 with Evening Prayer, 16.00, in St Giles' Cripplegate, Barbican EC2Y 8DA, and culminating on Friday, 23 January 2026, 11.00, with a Service based on the worship created by Armenian Christians for the 2026 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.
St Joseph's Church Jewin Welsh Presbyterian Church, St Giles' Cripplegate, and Wesley's Chapel & Leysian Mission entered into a formal Ecumenical Partnership in January 2020. See link below.
Their worship together includes an annual contemporary form of Tenebrae on Wednesday in Holy Week with Saturday Morning Lenten Reflections around each of the churches, using paintings by Caravaggio, from 21 February-14 March 2026.
