Walking in Mercy Retreat

Mercy International Association (MIA) is offering an online retreat on Tuesday 17th February on the theme 'Walking in Mercy'. The retreat, which will be offered by MIA's Head of Heritage and Spirituality Caroline Thompson, is an opportunity to kick-start your Lenten Journey through the lens of Mercy. Mercy International Association is an organisation of the leaders of Mercy Congregations, Institutes and Federations throughout the world, founded to serve the Sisters of Mercy, their associates and partners in ministry. Members of the Association share the passion of their foundress, Catherine McAuley, to bring mercy to people who are poor, sick and uneducated.
Caroline Thompson is from Australia and joined MIA last November as Head of Heritage and Spirituality. She has had an extensive and successful career in Australia in Catholic education including senior leadership positions - principal, assistant principal and APRE. Her doctoral studies focused on Catholic educational leadership, Catholic identity and contemporary governance challenges.
Caroline has also served on a variety of formation teams including the National Catholic Education Conference Faith Formation and RE Committee, the Good Samaritan Education Council, the Edmund Rice Community Services Mission Committee, the Mercy Mission Formation Network and the AMPJP Mission Committee.
Caroline has presented workshops, retreats, leadership forums, strategic planning sessions and intensives for school staff, leadership teams, boards, hospital leaders and parish groups across Catholic ministries on canonical governance, ecclesiastical goods and stable patrimony.
Caroline has written and edited formation resources including charism handbooks for Mercy, Presentation and Franciscan ministries as well as prayer resources, governance manuals and synodality materials.
