Mass of St John Fisher - New setting by UK composer Mike Walsh

Composer Mike Walsh has released a new setting of the Mass, Mass of St John Fisher, in 2025. The work has received the imprimatur of Bishop David Oakley, on behalf of the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, confirming it is approved for liturgical use.
Honouring St John Fisher, the English cardinal and martyr, the setting draws on contemporary ideas to create a work that is accessible to congregations, easy to pick up, and enjoyable to play.
Since its release, the Mass of St John Fisher has already been sung in several parishes across England, with positive feedback from clergy, choirs, and congregations. The work is self-published and available in a variety of formats, including full score, keyboard accompaniments and lead sheet
"My hope is that this Mass will give parishes a fresh way to sing the liturgy, while staying rooted in Catholic musical heritage," said Mike Walsh.
