London: Thinking with Pope Francis
How might Pope Francis' teachings illuminate our lives and experiences? And how might our lives and experiences shape the way in which we approach his teaching?
Beginning Monday, 15 January, at 6.30pm, Dr Nicolete Burbach will be leading five in-person sessions at the London Jesuit Centre, discussing Pope Francis' teachings, exploring how they shed light on our lives, and how our lives and experiences might shape our understanding of them in turn.
How might Pope Francis' teachings illuminate our lives and experiences? And how might our lives and experiences shape the way in which we approach his teaching?
This course takes the form of five opportunities for 'Conversation in the Spirit': a technique for discussion used at the recent Synod that aims to combine prayerful reflection with listening and encounter in order to hear where the Holy Spirit is leading the Church today. Each week, we will use this technique to discuss extracts from Francis' teachings, each chosen around a particular theme, and to explore how they touch on our lives.
