Gaza: IDF closes Anglican Hospital, detains staff
Rev Don Binder, Canon Pastor to the English Speaking Congregation st St George's Anglican Church, Jerusalem, writes:
It has been a great mercy for the many wounded in Gaza City that we were able to keep our Ahli Anglican Hospital open for so long.
That ended today.
This morning the Israeli Army destroyed the wall of Ahli's front entrance and detained most of the staff there. They left two junior doctors, four nurses and two janitors to tend to over one hundred seriously wounded patients. All with no running water and no electricity.
An IDF tank is currently parked on the rubble of the hospital's entry wall, blocking all ingress and egress.
If anyone reads this and has any political influence, please use it to try to save these patients and our abducted and extremely distressed hospital staff.
Their very lives may now depend on forceful international intervention!
