More than 200 visitors flocked to a Coventry school to marvel at pupils' summer celebration of arts. Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School, part of the Romero Catholic Academy, welcomed more than 200 visitors to its annual Summer Showcase in July.
The annual event celebrates the school's achievements in the creative arts, giving pupils the chance to express themselves across multiple artistic mediums.
Students were encouraged to get out of there comfort zone across a range of projects in the build up to the event, which was hosted in Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School's sixth form centre and newly built theatre.
Parents, carers and friends gathered to celebrate their achievements, with around 100 student works on show including GCSE and A-Level projects.
The event celebrated the diverse creative arts produced by pupils at Cardinal Wiseman including photography, drama, and art, and featured students embracing their natural talents while drawing on a diverse range of cultures through dance, music and song.
Zoe Seth at Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School said: "It was a joy to welcome so many members of our school community to witness such a special evening.
"The summer showcase allows students to express themselves through their talent, involving students across all key stages to show their talents to parents, carers, and friends. We look forward to continuing to see each department growing ahead of the next showcase in a year's time."
Destiny Daly, Cardinal Wiseman sixth form student, said: "The production was a great way to strengthen our community and to express all our talent as a school. I am so glad I was given the opportunity to be involved in this production."
