Tent of Nations: We refuse to be enemies. Opportunity to hear Daoud Nasser in person

There's a rare opportunity to meet Daoud Nasser from the Tent of Nations near Bethlehem in Liverpool and and London on 25 and 28 May - in a visit hosted by Sabeel-Kairos and Amos Trust.

Tent of Nations is a farm run by the Nasser family just south of Bethlehem on the Palestinian Territories of the West Bank.

The family, as with many Palestinians, have been denied the right to build on their land and has been involved in a long-running court case to ratify the ownership of their land.

The case has been in the courts for decades and has been delayed numerous times (including five times in the last year) - despite them having all the necessary paperwork.

Daoud Nasser will speak with Charlotte Marshall, Director of Sabeel-Kairos, and will talk of the numerous challenges they face - whether that be access to water, encroachment of Israeli settlers upon their land or the ongoing court case.

He will also talk about the family's deep commitment to the land, to non-violence and their "refusal to be enemies" before spending some time talking about the likely impact of the new Israeli government on people such as the Nassers, who live in what is called 'Area C', which makes up over 60% of the Palestinian West Bank but is under total Israeli control.

Amos Trust has taken numerous people to visit the Tent of Nations to meet Daoud and his family. It is always an inspirational visit. This event represents a rare opportunity to hear Daoud speak in the UK.

There will also be the chance to hear about campaign opportunities, advocate and visit Palestine with Sabeel-Kairos and Amos Trust, and pick up resources to help you.
