The photograph of Phan Thị Kim Phúc is one of the most iconic images of the 20th century. The Pulitzer Prize winning image, shot by AP photographer Nick Ut, shows her at nine years of age in 1972, running naked on a road after being severely burned on her back by a Napalm attack during the Vietnam War. But what happened to her after that? How did she feel about the people who had injured her and her family?

Young journalists Otilio Da Silva and Xaerhea Bennett from St John Bosco College in Battersea, south London, managed to get an exclusive interview with Phan for the latest edition of their magazine Faith Matters.

Another scoop in this edition is an interview by Britney Garcia with Salesian priest Fr Tom Uzhunnalil, who was abducted in Aden from a care home, run by the Missionaries of Charity on 4 March 2016. Most of the Sisters in the home were killed. Fr Tom was somehow spared and held hostage by rebels in Yemen for 557 days. How did his faith help him survive the ordeal? What is he doing now?

The Easter edition of Faith Matters, written entirely by 6th Form students at SJBC, under the guidance of editor-in-chief Fr Andrew, has several more seasonal features, reflections and reviews. A limited number of hard copies has been published and is available in the school, local parish and Westminster Cathedral.
