London: Lord Deben on Catholicism, COP 26 and the Climate + VIDEO

The Rt Hon Lord Deben (John Selwyn Gummer), will be speaking on Catholicism, COP 26 and the Climate this Monday, 6 September, at Holy Apostles Parish, Winchester Street, Pimlico, London SW1V 4LY. A former MP, now member of the House of Lords, Lord Deben is Chairman of the UK's independent Committee on Climate Change.

The talk begins at 7.15pm. Admission Free. All welcome.

Lord Deben's talk is the first in a series at Holy Apostles this week.

Sr Gemma Simmonds CJ, will be speaking about 'Catholicism, Prayer and the Spiritual Life' on Tuesday 7 September. Gemma Simmonds is a religious sister of the Congregation of Jesus, lecturer, author and former chaplain at Cambridge University. Her most recent book: 'Dancing at the Still Point, Retreat practices for a busy life' - has just been published. The talk begins at 7.15pm. Admission Free. All welcome.

The final talk in the series on Wednesday evening will be given by Patrick van der Vorst, on 'Catholicism, Beauty and Art'. A seminarian at the Beda College in Rome, Patrick is a former director and auctioneer at Southeby's, Dragon's Den entrepreneur, and author of the daily Catholic blog: www.christian.art - (which features on ICN as 'Today's Gospel in Art.')

The talk begins at 7.15pm. Admission Free. All welcome.

Each evening will consist of a 30 minute followed by a Q&A.
