Jonathan Roumie from The Chosen reads Gospels in 30 days

  • Edward Kendall

Jonathan Roumie, the actor who plays Jesus in online series The Chosen, is reading all four Gospels on the Catholic App Hallow this month...

Each session covers a few chapters in about twenty minutes. Alongside the daily Gospel readings, there are commentaries provided by theologian and author Dr Edward Sri and biblical scholar Dr Mary Healy...

Hallow's aim is to "reignites daily prayer routines this summer through listening and meditating on the Word of God".

The app also offers a guide for individual or group study of the Gospels which can be downloaded here: https://hallow.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/30-Day-Gospel-Challenge-Study-Guide.pdf

Hallow is a Catholic prayer and meditation app that provides audio-guided prayer and music. The app offers the Rosary, litanies, Bible stories, music, and several novenas as part of its permanent content, but also offers seasonal challenges each year.

Hallow has partnered with Jonathan Roumie several times in the past, including a recording of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Sacred Heart Novena, and the Lord's Prayer in Aramaic.

"We couldn't be more excited about our partnership with Jonathan for this audio-guided experience of the Gospels. Our hope is that it helps people deepen their relationship with God, who we believe wants to get to know each and every one of us through His Word," said Hallow CEO and co-founder, Alex Jones.

A 30 day free trial is available, after which Hallow costs £8.49 a month in the UK.
