Shrines around world link up to pray the Rosary

Join the daily live broadcast of the recitation of the Holy Rosary in link-ups with Marian shrines around the world, as part of the May marathon of prayer called by Pope Francis to free the world of the pandemic. .

Below is the list of Shrines where the Rosary will be prayed each day at 6pm CET, (5pm UK time)

On Saturday 1 May, the prayer marathon began with the Rosary in St Peter's Basilica, Rome - For the entire world wounded by the pandemic.

The Rosary was prayed that day in The Catholic National Shrine and Basilica of Our Lady of Walsingham, England - For all the deceased.

On 2 May the Rosary was prayed in The Sanctuary of Jesus the Saviour and Mother Mary Elele, Nigeria - For all those who have not been able to say goodbye to their deceased loved ones

The Monastery of Jasna Góra - Black Madonna of Częstochowa in Poland was the setting for the Rosary on 3 May - For all those infected with the coronavirus and all the sick.

4 May - The Basilica of the Annunciation, Nazareth, Israel - For all expectant women and their unborn children

6 May - The National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida - Brazil - For all young people

8 May - The Basilica of Luján (Our Lady of Luján) Argentina - For all communication workers

9 May - The Basilica of the Holy House (Our Lady of Loreto) Italy - For all seniors

10 May - The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Knock, Ireland - For all people with disabilities

11 May - The Shrine of Our Lady of Banneux (Virgin of the Poor) Belgium - For all the poor, the homeless, and the economically distressed

12 May - The Basilica of Our Lady of Africa, Algiers, Algeria - For all people who live alone and those who have lost hope

13 May - The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, Portugal - For all prisoners

14 May - The Basilica of Our Lady of Health Vailankanni, India - For all scientists and medical research institutions
