This March sees the 41st anniversary of the martyrdom of St Oscar Romero. Despite the limitations still in place throughout the world, the feast day of St Oscar Romero is being marked in many ways. See a link to last week's Ecumenical Service from St Martin-in-the-Fields, London below. This week, the annual Mass in the Archdiocese of Liverpool, and the Mass at St George's Cathedral, Southwark which houses the diocesan shrine to St Oscar Romero will take place.

Liverpool

Outside of El Salvador, the Archdiocese of Liverpool is the only place to hold a Mass to mark the martyrdom of Arhcbishop Romero every year since his assassination. This year's Mass will take place at the newly named parish of St Oscar Romero, which serves the communities of Seaforth and Liverpool. Mass will be celebrated by the parish priests, Fr Dominic Curran, at 7pm on Tuesday, 23 March - the eve of the feast of St Oscar Romero. It will be held in Our Lady Star of the Sea church, Crescent Road and live-streamed at romerotrust.org.uk.

A limited congregation is able to gather in the cathedral, and it will also be streamed live HERE.
