First Global Laudato Si' Monthly Prayer Service

Let's start creating a culture of care by praying together - that's the message from The Global Catholic Climate Movement who will be holding the first Global Laudato Si' Monthly Prayer Service of 2021 this Friday, 15 January. The service will provide space to hear creation's song, cry, and invitation.

We'll also hear a moving reflection from Bishop Vicente Ferreira, the Secretary of the Special Commission on Integral Ecology and Mining for the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil and the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Belo Horizonte and Brumadinho.

Two years ago this month, a mining dam collapse in Brumadinho killed 270 people. Nine others are still missing, and more than 300 acres of forest, enough to cover 125 soccer fields, were lost.
