Cardinal Nichols urges faithful to 'vote thoughtfully'

Source: Archbishops House

Ahead of the General Election which takes place on Thursday, 12th December, Cardinal Vincent Nichols asked that the Sunday before the election be a 'day of prayer for our nations'.

He urged the faithful to 'vote thoughtfully, not out of rancour' and asked that discussions should be undertaken with 'unfailing courtesy'.

In a social media post on Twitter and Instagram today, he writes: 'Let Sunday be a day of prayer for our nations, asking God's blessing at this election time. Vote thoughtfully, not out of rancour. Discuss with unfailing courtesy. Step well away from all hatred. At this moment of decision, seek the good, always.'
