London: First Polish Christian hip-hop festival


Beats of Mercy vol. 1 - the first in a series of Polish Christian hip-hop concerts, will take place at Club Scala in King's Cross on Sunday, 27 January.

Popular Polish rap artists TAU & Arkadio - who describe themselves as "living proof of the power of God's Mercy" are headlining. The support lineup includes London-based Polish Catholic singer Iwona Pietral and Debora "Deb" Siwak from London and Łukasz "Wąski" Oleksik from Gdańsk.

The show has been organised by the Parish of St Andrzej Bobola in Hammersmith, Kultura Życia and Radio Bobola, in partnership with the Polish Catholic Mission in England and Wales, Polish Institute of Catholic Action in England and Wales and several other groups.

Tickets are £22 but there will be some freebies for those unable to pay. Call 07736813752 for more information. While the concert is for the over-16s - there will also be creche facilities for parents with young children.
