New puppet play explores Catholic themes
A puppet play which explores Catholicism's ethical imperative to love the stranger and welcome the immigrant is currently touring in the UK. Shakespeare versus Moliere is performed by two puppet theatre companies, one French, one British.
Two performances for one day only in London next Wednesday 8th November at 1pm and 7.30pm, Little Angel Studios, London: www.littleangeltheatre.com 0207 226 1787
The play uses the words and plots of the golden age playwrights in a tragi-comic exploration of current global crises, particularly warfare, late capitalism and the mass displacement of peoples.
Subsidised by the Arts Council England, the play is an opportunity to experience a highly visual piece of theatre and resonant words.
