National Director of Missio welcomes Evangelii Gaudium

Mgr Canon James Cronin, National Director of Missio (the Pope’s worldwide mission charity) has welcomed Pope Francis’ first Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium.

"The document’s focus on the importance of evangelisation and mission are a real encouragement to all of us at Missio", said Mgr James.

"His words echo previous comments about the priority of proclaiming Jesus Christ to the world, and his focus on the relationship between faith and charity is at the heart of Missio’s mandate as a mission organisation. Missio works to ensure that people in need not only have water but have access to the waters of life; that they have bread but are also offered the Bread of Life through the Eucharist and the word of God revealed in Scripture."
