Dublin: Day of Reflection with Sara Maitland at All Hallows

Rumi understood the power of silence when he wrote: "Now I'll be quiet and let silence separate what is true from what is illusion, as thrashing does".
Recent studies in music have shown that it is the silence between the phrases which is important. A Heart Health Journal published an article in 2006 entitled 'Cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and respiratory changes induced by different types of music in musicians and non-musicians: the importance of silence.'
A commitment to silence is a commitment to truth, integrity and wellbeing. In a day of reflection (Saturday, July 6 at All Hallows College, Dublin), with Sara Maitland author of A Book of Silence, the transformative, liberating power of silence will be explored.
Workshop Cost: €30 (Cheques payable to ‘New Monasticism’). Bring your own lunch, enjoy the natural silence of All Hallows pastoral setting, or purchase at onsite Cafe.
