There was a Candlemass liturgy to mark the fourth anniversary of Carmel-in-the-City’s foundation at St Joseph's, Bunhill Row on Saturday.
Fr Wilfrid McGreal O.Carm, Carmelite Prior Provincial, came from Faversham in Kent,(where he is Parish Priest at the National Shrine of Saint Jude) to celebrate the Mass.
Afterwards there was a bring and share lunch - with a special fourth birthday cake - followed by a discussion on the future of Lay Carmel led by John Berry, Provincial Delegate. The afternoon ended with Lectio Divina.
