David Beckham chooses Southwark student to carry Olympic Torch

Congratulations to Gabriella Roseje, a student at Saint Francis Xavier Sixth Form College in South Clapham, who has been nominated by David Beckham to be Samsung's first torchbearer to carry the Olympic Flame. Gabriella is studying BTEC National Sports and Exercise Science.

Gabriella was nominated both for her enthusiasm and commitment to her sport (rugby), and for her work with the Wooden Spoon Charity, which does charitable works with disadvantaged children and young people.
