Ordinariate to hold historic Evensong at heart of Oxford Movement
The Oxford Ordinariate Group is organising their first Solemn Evensong and Benediction at the Dominican Priory, Blackfriars, next Wednesday, 15 June, at 7.30pm by kind permission of the Prior and Community.
Describing the service as "highly significant" a spokesman said: "Oxford has always been an important place i n the development of a Catholic tradition within Anglicanism. Along with many others, great figures such as our patron, Blessed John Henry Newman, first came into contact with the faith whilst in Oxford,
"Many of the colleges, churches and institutions can claim a part of the great movement towards full communion which the Ordinariate now represents."
All are very welcome to attend.
