Relics of Saint Claude coming to London
The relics of St Claude La Colombiere are being brought from Paray-Le-Monial in France to St Patrick's Church in Soho at 8pm on Thursday 6 June for a three day celebration of the Feast of the Sacred Heart. St Claude was canonised ten years ago. Parish priest Fr Alexander Sherbrooke said: "St Claude was the first person to preach about the Sacred Heart. He was a chaplain to the wife of James II, Mary of Modena. It is a great blessing and a grace to have his relics here. We will be asking for his particular intercession. How much we need to celebrate God's mercy and share it with others." Events at St Patrick's will include: Morning prayer on Friday and Saturday followed by all day Adoration of Blessed Sacrament, Veneration of relics, Confession and welcome. At 8pm on Saturday there will be Mass of the Sacred Heart for the Poor. For more information call St Patrick's on: 0207 437 2010
