London: Irish chaplaincy anniversary celebrations
To mark the 60th anniversary of the Irish Chaplaincy in Britain - there will be a celebration of Irish music, dancing, theatre, this Friday, 14 July at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic church in Kentish Town.
Performances will include: The Hackney School of Folk and The Irish Pensioners Choir.
There will also be a two act performance depicting 60 years of Irish Chaplaincy by Irish Theatre - '60 Years On', written and directed by John Dunne. Two characters meet up in a church, one from 1957 the other from 60 years on. The play has been specially commissioned by the Irish Chaplaincy for this celebration.
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 6.50pm start and admission is free with donations at the end. All are welcome.
