Fire services are still fighting the blaze which broke out this morning at Grenfell Tower in Notting Hill Gate. Hundreds of residents were forced to evacuate the building in their nightclothes. Local churches, community centres and charities have sprung into action to offer emergency rest centres and support

St Clement's Church in Sidar Road and Rugby Portobello Trust in Walmer Road say they have enough donations currently and are asking people to take clean and useable clothing, water, dry and canned food to St Francis Catholic Church in Pottery Lane, W11 4NQ.

Kensington and Chelsea council will be posting information here: www.rbkc.gov.uk/newsroom/all-council-statements/fire-grenfell-tower

URGENT UPDATE - All the church collection points are full to capacity now. The organisers ask people to donate money to the churches and community organisations directly or to: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/familiesofgrenfelltower
