EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network joins iHeartRadio

The EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network has become the first Catholic broadcaster to be added to iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s industry-leading digital radio service. Under this agreement, EWTN, the live, interactive, family-friendly Catholic radio network, will now be available on the iHeartRadio platform wherever it is offered including web, mobile devices, tablets and automobiles.

iHeartRadio delivers everything listeners want in one free, fully-integrated service; instant access to more than 1,000 of the nation’s most popular broadcast and digital-only radio stations from 150 cities, plus user-created Custom Stations inspired by favorite artists and songs. With more than 115 million listening hours a month, nearly 50 million monthly digital uniques, more than 125 million downloads of iHeartRadio mobile apps and more than 18 million registered users, iHeartRadio’s free service continues to grow faster than all other popular digital entertainment and social platforms.

“As we enter the Year of Faith called for by Pope Benedict XVI, EWTN, the largest Catholic media network in the world, is pleased to partner with iHeartRadio, the industry-leading digital radio service, to proclaim the Gospel message to an ever-expanding global audience,” said EWTN President & Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw. “Our foundress, Mother Angelica, took the Lord’s command to carry His message to the ends of the earth seriously. Our partnership with iHeartRadio enables us to carry on that legacy using the latest in digital technology.”

“By adding EWTN, the leading Catholic media network, to the iHeartRadio platform, we continue to enhance iHeartRadio’s offerings for users,” said Brian Lakamp, President of Digital for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment. “We want to be everywhere our listeners are with a variety of programming options and this agreement offers iHeartRadio users an even more interesting and diverse listening experience.”
