Joint meeting of Catholic and Anglican bishops
Archbishop Peter Smith, hosted a joint meeting between the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales and the House of Bishops of the Church of England at the Amigo Hall in Southwark on Monday, 4 April.
This was the first plenary session of Catholic and Anglican bishops since they met with the Holy Father at Lambeth Palace, the residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury, on 17 September 2010.
After the meeting, Archbishop Peter Smith presided at Ecumenical Vespers in St George's Cathedral.
The participants were: Canon James Cronin, Bishop Michael Langrish,Bishop of Exeter, Bishop Christopher Budd, Plymouth, Archbishop Peter Smith, Archbishop Rowan Williams, Archbishop Vincent Nichols, and Canon Andrew Nunn, Acting Dean of Southwark Anglican Cathedral.
