London: Towards Advent Festival

Towards Advent, the annual Festival of Catholic Culture, takes place this  Saturday,  14 November  at Westminster Cathedral Hall in Ambrosden Avenue, behind Westminster Cathedral. The official opening  is at 10.30am with Archbishop Vincent Nichols and the Schola of the Cardinal Vaughan School.

There will be talks during the day from, among others, Dr Suha Rassam of Iraqi Christians in Need, who will speak on 'Christianity in Iraq today' and Prof Jonanathan Riley Smith on 'The Crusades'.

The will be stalls  from many Catholic organisations  with books, DVDs, Christmas cards and gifts for sale. Refreshments will be available all day. There will be a play corner for children. Guided tours of Westminster Cathedral  will be led by Joanna Bogle. All are welcome.
