Comment Email Print
During the annual meeting of the Friar and Lay Carmelite members of the British Province with their collaborators, held at Aylesford Priory in Kent, Brother Gerard Walsh received the Ministry of Reader from Fr Wilfrid McGreal, Prior Provincial.

In his homily Fr  Wilfrid spoke of the need to proclaim the Word of God in a way which brings people the fulness of life and freedom of God's beloved children.

Gerard, a member of the York Carmelite community, is one of four Carmelite friars in the process of initial formation. Reception of the Ministry of Reader is an important step in his process of formation for ministry at the service of God's people.
